I actually updated my website code a bit!
I added the ability to add comments to news articles. Comments are private notes that are only visible while editing a news page. It allows me to add rough ideas on how to improve an article that would not be worth posting online since the idea is still quite rough. I can add a date that an article was first created to allow me the option to temporarily sticky a news post.
There are other uses for comments I'm sure, but you get the idea of how it can be useful.
