I've been looking into how the Recycle Bin on Windows 10 works. The Recycle Bin has a default quota of 5% of your disk space. The files are stored in a hidden system folder called $recycle.bin. located at:
C:\$Recycle.Bin
To view this file you will need to customize your drive or folder and uncheck Hide protected operating files (Recommended) and select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
If you have multiple volumes, each volume has its own Recycle Bin, however, when you open the recycle bin icon located on your desktop it will display all of the deleted files for all of your volumes. ref
