main page is now html valid, now to move on to the rest of the site. There are a few minor glitches here and there, but nothing too big.
EDIT: actually, I take some of that back. The glitches on the main page are now fixed, but before I go to work cleaning up the rest of the site I will need to clean up the code on the main page.
The code on the main page is the most complicated by far of all of the pages. It has gone through many improvements, fixes, clean–ups, and rearranging of code over the last year or two and is now W3C valid, but it still needs more work. I think it is almost there, but I would like it to be easy to understand and work with and it is not quite there yet. The way it stands and has been is that if I were to make changes to the layout I would be traipsing through a very messy room.
