I am reading up on CSS positioning and a bit on default values and how browsers differ in how they handle CSS.  It just feels like such a tangled mess at present with lots of little differences here and there.  I think I have a basic framework and am slowly chipping away at the discrepancies like untying one big knot.

I took care of the one IE compatibility issue with where the left margin was actually located, so now all three browsers can agree on a specific left margin.  I still have three left to go.  Actually, after I get the other three margins to agree it should look just right.
