ok, that's enough studying for tonight. It looks like I have made some progress in understanding normalized tables, but I still have a ways to go yet. I expanded the MySQL –– JOIN statements a little more with another more complex JOIN query with an alternate version of said query as well. The query is explained to some degree.
I think I have a working understanding of FOREIGN KEYS and all I have left to figure out is REFERENCES and CASCADE.
No matter. I think I'd like to take a break from programming for a bit and work on something else for a few days.
