I woke up late, so I worked a bit more on the user control panel some more. I found a few bugs like an error message that resulted when trying to create an article when the user has no articles written yet and plugged up the hole where users were still able to create more than 5 articles in a given 24 hour period if they knew how to exploit the bug.
I could make the user cookies more secure by tying the cookie to the ip address, but that really is not important right now.
Hmm, there are other bugs yet, but none that I can think of that are serious enough to prevent me from making the user interface public. If I do release it it will be an alpha version at best for a while. I think it is at alpha stage. If I still think so tomorrow I'll open it to the public.
