I believe the answer to the previous post is that these people want the homosexual to be at peace with their homosexuality.  More than that, the person who tries so hard to deny any shred of hope to the homosexual desiring to rid himself of his unwanted desires sees homosexuals as being defined by their desires as is the case with most homosexuals.  

Worst of all is that if there is hope for the homosexual through Christianity or anything else then people will have to accept that people must bear some degree of responsibility for their behavior, which with this behavior probably seems insurmountable.

The problem is that there are many ex–homosexuals who have left that lifestyle many many years ago.

The other problem is that because the effort to silence any information about this hope is so pervasive and vocal any useful literature on this topic must be closely guarded.
