I just tried Opera 15, 16, and 17 and do not like them. They are incredibly minimalistic, which means options have been reduced as much as possible. It appears that Opera has decided to rewrite the core version of Opera and have adopted the Chrome browser as its core as opposed to Presto.
I am not sure what has prompted the change, but I am currently researching and trying to learn more about what has happened and why and if the core philosophy of the Opera browser has changed or was forced to change.
For now I have downgraded from 12.16 to 12.14. Along with the many changes to Opera I find that I am needing to spend a lot of time updating the links in Opera –– Tips.
