One project I've been wanting for years is a 37.5 inch Acer monitor for my computer.

As far as the monitor goes I have put some thought into this over the last few years.  I've decided against the 4k because I want the extra horizontal width.  The 34 inch monitors are a lot less, but the real estate difference between a 34 inch and a 38 inch monitor is pretty big.

The thought is that there are only so many games that can use that space, but for someone that is only a casual gamer like myself, the eye candy is perfect.  For browsing the internet I think the space will be a bit much, but I feel like I will grow into the real estate quite well.

I am looking forward to trying out some movies, some visual novel games, and maybe some coding and spreadsheet work as well.

The reviews I have seen all look good and every other type of monitor I have seen just seems to steer me back to the Acer 37.5 inch monitor.

During the time that I have spent putting it off I have learned that the monitor is Freesync, but that is not a problem if I have an adequate tower setup.  Initially I thought that a good GPU would be acceptable, but all things considered, I should really upgrade my whole system.  My current computer is not quite as old as my last one was when I upgraded it at 8 years, but is close at 6 years.

The real question is whether I want to continue my current project of paying my car off early (very early) or take a break and work on the new computer...
