Things are going much better now. The transition to php 8.x may happen tomorrow.
Once that happens I will have another batch of bugs to fix.
This type of maintenance is important. It is like maintaining a house. If you wait until your house falls down before you begin to fix it or update it, you will have a much harder time doing so and you will do one of three things. Let the house be bulldozed, fix it (very hard), or start over again from scratch.
