Israel's invasion expected in the next few weeks

Netanyahu has said repeatedly that Israel will enter Rafah, the last Hamas stronghold in Gaza to wipe out Hamas. However, for the last several weeks there has been relative silence regarding any incursion into Rafah. Netanyahu recently stated on 3/17/24 that Israel WILL enter Rafah, but not for a few weeks yet as they prepare.

The plan after the incursion is that Israel will not occupy Gaza or the West Bank, but they will perpetually control Gaza and the West Bank, the borders will be tightly controlled by Israel, and Gaza and the West Bank will be controlled by local civilians and technocrats. Lastly, Gaza and the West Bank will be reformed by a foreign power, but it is unclear what that means.
