What's going on in Gaza with Gideon's Chariots?
Posted: 5/30/25

Gideon's Chariots is an offensive operation in Gaza by Israel to finally obliterate Hamas once and for all. It is a major offensive and is and will be the greatest to date against Gaza. Gideon's Chariots is a reference to
Judges 6-8. Gideon's Chariots officially began on
May 18, 2025 after Hamas refused to accept the offer for a ceasefire. In fact, even now, Hamas still
has not accepted any ceasefire proposal. Gideon's Chariots is expected to last
around a year during which time Hamas will be defeated and, most, if not all of the Gazan territory, will be permanently held by Israel.
The Operation involves deployments by land, sea, and air with massive deployments in northern and southern Gaza and massive evacuations of the population of most of Gaza. The current ceasefire offer to Hamas is for a number of hostages in exchange for a 60 day ceasefire. It does not appear that this offer will be off the table while the offensive continues. It is unclear who the leadership of Hamas even is and has been speculated that there is only one
currently in Gaza and the rest are abroad.
From here on it looks like Hamas is on its way out in about a year from now and it will be interesting to see where things end or if
Trump's plan for Gaza begins to materialize before his term as the 47th President ends.
Somewhat related, but I am reminded of a Babylon Bee article
